Julia Brownley to Run for Congress

State Assemblywoman Julia Brownley announced she will be a candidate for the 26th Congressional Distric in Ventura County.
Brownley (D), announced that she will move to Oak Park this week in order to reside in Ventura County for the election.
Brownley joins a crowded field of candidates including David Cruz Thayne, Jess Herrera, David Pollock. She received endorsements from Zeke Ruelas and Steve Bennett, both of whom already dropped out of the race.
State Senator Tony Strickland (R) and County Supervisor Linda Parks are also running. Under California’s new primary system, the top top finishers in the primary vote will advance to the general election.
